I had a
client, 30 years old, who was working as a Physical Fitness instructor.
She was diagnosed to have meniscal injury on her left knee (pain
scale 8/10) upon prolonged walking. According to her Physiatrist
she needed to undergo knee surgery but 5 days before her
scheduled knee surgery she came to my clinic for a treatment. I

Who is Mr. Aaron Mattes and what are his
qualifications?
His experience encompasses over 175,000 hours in
instruction, rehabilitation, athletic training, adapted physical
education, sports medicine, training and preventative programs.
Mr. Mattes has advanced degrees with special emphasis in Kinesiology and
Kinesiotherapy.
Mr. Mattes is a registered Kinesiotherapist and a licensed Massage
Therapist who lectures internationally and serves as a consultant,
enabling him to rehabilitate thousands of subjects.
He received his Masters of Science degree (Kinesiology and Exercise
Science) from the University of Illinois and University of Toledo. He
also served as a Physical Education Instructor and pitching Coach for
the University of Illinois baseball team.

The Mattes Method centers on physiological principals of specific muscle
lengthening, increased circulation and oxygen to the tissues,
lengthening of superficial and deep fascia. The seminar involves exact
details of how to safely lengthen muscles and fascia while
simultaneously maintaining a physiologically based agonist-antagonist
relationship.

The seminar is 30% lectures, 70% hands-on work. Detailed approaches to
each muscle surrounding a joint, various indications and
contraindications related to muscular skeletal problems. Some of the
various problems that are addressed are carpal tunnel, thoracic outlet,
tendonitis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, back problems, neuropathy and
various sports medicine considerations are discussed and demonstrated.
