The faculty, lead under the direction of the school’s founder, Dr. Jivin Tantisira, MD and Director, Trina N. Kuailani, LMT. strives to create a dynamic learning environment to bring out the best in each student. Each faculty member exemplifies excellence in teaching and clinical practice.

The 12-month Program begins each January and July. Classes are divided into two terms.

Term 1


  • Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Saturday, 9:00am – 4:00pm.

Term 2


  • Sunday, 9:00 am – 1:00pm
  • Clinical Practice (2-3 Clinic Shifts each week)
    • Monday, Wednesday, Friday, & Saturday 4:30pm – 9:00pm
    • Sunday 1:30pm – 6:00pm

Enrollment Process:
To enroll, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent. Applicants must submit a completed ASMT application, current photo and $45 non-refundable application fee. All applicants will interview with an ASMT Administrator. Telephone interviews may be arranged for applicants residing out of state. Approved applicants will receive an acceptance letter in the mail. Upon approval, a $350 non-refundable registration fee must be received within 14 (fourteen) days to be enrolled into the upcoming class. Students with prior massage training, as well as apprentices are welcome into the program.


Option One: Full tuition paid in advance of $4,479.18. The breakdown is as follows: $4,300 plus state tax $179.18 = $4,479.18, less $350 registration fee = $4,129.18 due one week before the first day of class.

 Option Two: Two payments of $2,116.68. The first payment is due 5 days before the start of term one and the second payment is due 5 days before the start of term two. The breakdown is as follows: $4,400 plus state tax $183.35 = $4,583.30, less $350 registration fee = $4,233.35 divided by 2.

Option Three: Ten monthly payments of $444.17. Each payment is due by the 5th of each month. The breakdown is as follows: $4,600 plus state tax $191.68 = $4,791.68, less $350 registration fee = $4,441.68 divided by 10.

Option Four: Individual courses may be taken on a space-available basis at a tuition rate of $16 per instructional hour.

*Early withdrawal from the program will be charged an Option Four rate.

Additional Cost:
Massage supplies – $100.00, Text books – $80.00, Student Insurance – $45.00, uniform – $30.00 each, total =$255.00. Students may purchase a massage table and/or massage chair through ASMT.

Financial Aid:
Students who are of Native Hawaiian Ancestry and resides in the State of Hawaii may qualify for Alu Like’s Hana Lima Vocational Scholarship. Please inquire with Alu Like for more information and deadlines.

Student Loans may be available through banks and private lending institutions.

Aloha School of Massage Therapy offers a scholarship for low income students who qualify. Please inquire for availability and eligibility.

ASMT Policies:
Grading and Attendance – Student learning is evaluated by written tests, practical evaluations, class participation and homework. A passing course grade is 70% or higher with at least a 90% class attendance is required.
