The faculty of Aloha School of Massage Therapy creates a dynamic learning environment to bring out the best in students. Each faculty member exemplifies excellence in their teaching and clinical practice. All are skilled professionals. Together they challenge and inspire students to discover their own unique gifts and relationship to the healing arts.

NORMAN OSHIRO, B.S., LMT is the Director of ASMT. He brings a wealth of teaching and therapeutic experience to the school. He is certified Reflexologist and certified instructor of Jorei and flower arranging. Norman has both a private massage practice and works at a local spa. Norman’s passion is to help others and to create a better world which begins with the perfection of the individual. His commitment to the students, teachers and the community is unsurpassed.

MAUREEN TRAUB, MD teaches Anatomy and Physiology and has a special interest in preventive medicine, healing technique, and self care which she incorporates in her class. Dr. Traub, Board Certified for Family Practice, is an integrative health practitioner with experience in emergency medicine and family practice sine 1991. She has taught anatomy at U.C. San Francisco School of Medicine and Pharmacy where she received a teaching award and was nominated for the Kaiser award for excellence in teaching. Dr. Traub integrates the teaching of Anatomy and Physiology with the intention of self healing.

VALERIE "Passion Flower" MANDALLis an international teacher and practitioner of Thai Massage since 1984. While living in S.E. Asia for 10 years she received training from many respected teachers and her internship at the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She teaches on a national level, maintains a private practice and works at the Four Seasons Resort Maui.

SHINZO FUJIMAKI, LMT teaches Shiatsu by combining Namikoshi and Masunaga Shiatsu with the philosophy of Akikdo. Shinzo presents a unique and dynamic style of energy work. Shinzo is also a gifted and internationally renowned teacher giving workshops at many of the leading bodywork schools.

JACKIE “Kapua” TYLER, LMT teaches Hawaiian LomiLomi. She has been practicing this art for 20 years and enjoys sharing the mana’o (wisdom) and aloha of this style with all. Her specialty is Clinical Lomi and she primarily integrates and teaches Dr. Maka’ala Yates’ method.

MARY BOUTON, B.S., M.S., ATC, LMT teaches Massage Techniques, Assessment, Treatments and Pathology, Orthopedic Massage, Pre-Natal and Business. She is nationally certified athletic trainer who taught at Western Illinois University as well as Illinois Central College. She has worked 8 National Sport Tournaments. She also worked at Associate Physical Therapy for 7 years doing rehabilitation. For the last seven years she worked at Texas Massage Institute teaching various classes.

LINDA LEE, LMT has been a massage therapist for ten years, working both in private practice and in the resort-spa environment. For seven years she was the spa treatment trainer at the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui and has been an instructor for Aloha School of Massage since its inception. She teaches Aromatherapy, Hydrotherapy and Spa Applications and Orthopedic Massage.

ZOEE CROWLEY, LMT has been a health practitioner for 30 years. She spent the first 15 years nursing in a traditional medical practice, and the most recent 15 years as an Ortho-Bionomy practitioner and instructor. Zoee incorporates eastern and western philosophies, treating not only the symptoms but also the causes, not only the physical being but the whole body. Zoee was personally trained by Arthur Lincoln Pauls, founder of Ortho-Bionomy, D.O., British osteopath, and martial arts master.

Georgi teaches Massage Technique at ASTM. She has practiced and taught massage and yoga internationally since 1991, integrating dance and movement therapies into her holistic approach to health and personal growth. Born in Argentina, Georgi has a private practice on Maui.
